My background

I qualified as a Speech & Language Therapist and began my career in adult community and inpatient settings, leading SLT services and developing specialist expertise in neurological and structural swallowing difficulties in adults - stroke, Parkinson’s disease, head and neck cancer, and age-related dysphagia.

Although I started in adults, paediatric and neonatal feeding was always where I wanted to be. I now work as a Highly Specialist SLT across a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and paediatric wards in the NHS - from premature and medically complex babies learning to feed at the earliest and most vulnerable stage of life, through to children on the wards with a wide range of feeding challenges.

That breadth - from NICU to adult community, from bottle feeding to complex dysphagia - is what makes Hampshire Feeding Clinic genuinely different. I bring the clinical depth of an NHS specialist, with the flexibility and accessibility of private practice.

Why Hampshire Feeding Clinic

Because the families who need help shouldn’t have to wait

I set up Hampshire Feeding Clinic to offer specialist support - for babies, children, and adults - in a way that genuinely works for the people who need it: at home, at a time that suits you, with a clinician who truly knows their field.

For families, seeing you at home means I can observe your real mealtime environment: your high chair, your routines, the textures and foods your child actually encounters. That context is invaluable and something a clinic room simply can’t replicate.

For adults with swallowing difficulties, a home visit means I can assess you in your own environment, understand how dysphagia is affecting your daily life, and make recommendations that are practical and realistic for you - not just clinically appropriate.

Appointments are available evenings and weekends across Hampshire, and video appointments are offered where appropriate. You don’t need a GP referral - contact me directly and I’ll respond within 1–2 business days.

My approach

Evidence-based. Practical. Kind.

I believe the best outcomes come from thorough, unhurried assessment - taking time to understand the full picture before making recommendations. You know your child or family member better than anyone, and that knowledge is central to everything I do.

My recommendations are always evidence-based, but I work hard to make them practical - things you can actually implement at home, fitted around your family life. I write clear, detailed reports that you can share with your GP or other healthcare professionals, usually within 7 working days.

For paediatric feeding in particular, my goal is always a positive relationship with food - not just outcomes. A child who feels safe and unpressured around food is far more likely to make progress than one whose mealtimes have become a battleground.
